Lost and Found EpilogueHow quickly time passes, Optimus Prime mused, gazing out the window of his office in Iacon.  And how much things change when we're not looking.

Repair work on one of the towers just outside his window was well underway, with both builder drones and Autobot workers laboring tirelessly to restore the building.  It was somehow satisfying to see the tower come together, albeit slowly, a piece at a time, and to view the progress that had been made in the reconstruction each day.  It satisfied Prime even more to see exactly who was working on the repairs – not just Autobot builders, but the Constructicons, each group working side by side and coope
Lost and Found Part 13Prime was waiting for a pause in Ultra Magnus' speech so he could get a word in edgewise when something nudged against his hand.  He glanced over to find Jazz sliding a datapad into his line of sight, a smirk on the saboteur's faceplate.  Passing notes during a Council meeting was rather unprofessional, but then, Jazz tended to get most of what he accomplished done by unprofessional means, so why should this be any different?

Keeping his gaze fixed on Magnus as if truly interested in what the other mech had to say, he drew the datapad closer and chanced a quick glance at what Jazz had typed.

Okay, two possible back stories behind this picture. Take your pick of which one you like best...

Backstory 1: After the battle of Autobot City, the mortally wounded Optimus Prime was taken to the repair bay. Swoop, though devastated by the loss of both his creator Wheeljack and his mentor Ratchet, did his best to help Perceptor save the Prime, but in the end their efforts were in vain.

Prime, knowing his death was imminent, removed the Matrix from his chest and tried to give it to Ultra Magnus, but his strength failed him and he dropped it. Swoop, being close by and wanting to help the fallen Prime in some way, quickly bent to catch the artifact... and was immediately transformed by its power into Pterodactus Prime, the new leader of the Autobots.

Bearing the Matrix of Leadership in his chest and his new alt mode of the Quetzalcoatlus (a larger cousin to the Pteranodon of his former alt mode), he must now work to unite the Autobots against the dual threats of Galvatron and Unicron... but first he must overcome the prejudice against the Dinobots, the sudden distrust of his brothers, and his own youth and inexperience.

Or Backstory 2: I got this weird idea after someone at Fandemonium saw me in my Swoop costume and somehow thought I was Optimus Prime. :giggle:

Anyhow... Swoop as a Prime. I don't know what Swoop's sword really looks like, so just had fun desigining one of my own. Maybe the Matrix reformatted his weapon along with his body.

Huh... maybe I need to make his chest broader. He needs to be able to fit a Matrix in there, after all...

I know I owe people art requests, but sometimes I just need to take a break and do some artwork just for me. This was fun, and working on it gave me the break I needed. Will tackle more requests soon...
