FAQ -- last updated July 26, 2008:bulletred:

I don't need to compromise my principles because they don't have the slightest bearing on what happens to me anyway. -- Calvin, Calvin and Hobbes

Moods are currently broken (again). "Tired" should read "Utterly exhausted and depressed and frusrated and fed up with it all."

Since I'm sure people don't want to read a huge rant, I'll sum it up as best I can in a paragraph.

Mom and Stepdad have been fighting for DAYS. Nights too -- one night they were up until 5 AM yelling at each other. And today the fighting took an ugly turn. After a HUGE shoutfest (which included Mom shouting at me for a stupid mistake), Mom got in the car and drove off without saying where she was going. She's still gone. And Stepdad is now packing his bags and getting ready to move out.

*sigh*

Why did I let Mom talk me out of moving out back in April again?

Oh, hon. I'm so sorry.

I will pray that they can work things out or, if that's not possible or desirable, that things can be settled amicably. Hang in there...
:iconkenyastarflight:
At this point I don't know if things can be worked out. They're both stubborn and Mom likes to hold grudges for things. But I know I'll keep praying.

:cling: Thank you.

Q: How many Transformers fans does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Eight. One to change it, and the rest to complain that the light bulb was so much better back in the 80s.

I support well-written, in-character fanfic!

Hmmm...

Welp, I have no idea what you should do.

Though I would seriously consider moving out. An environment like that is downright toxic, and staying there would only hurt you. However, leaving would also cause new stresses and difficulties... as well as add stress to your parents, potentially making the situation worse.

...

I am not much help, am I?

Hope it goes okay. (sends e-hug).

Nothing against either your parents, mind, but still no talk with a marriage counselor?! :cling:

As I recall, you let her talk you out of it because she explained the reasons behind her reluctance, and the meaning behind some of her statements. ;)
Lame pseudo(sp?)-jokes aside, I'm sorry to hear that your mom and stepdad are fighting, and that it's gotten so bad. It sounds from your earlier posts that the problem lies more with your stepdad than with your mom. I don't know, though, so I can't judge.
If you feel moving out is the most viable solution, then go for it. If you think it'll ease tension, make people, yourself included, go for it. Just make sure your prepared for it, that you can pay your bills and such. Moving out is a big step after all.
And if you think your place is still at home, with your mom, then stay. I guess what I'm trying to say is, do what your heart tells you is best, as cliche as that sounds. *scratches back of head*
While we're on cliches, here's another: It's always darkest before the dawn. Maybe, since your mom and stepdad have pushed each other so far, things will get better, one way or another.
Sorry if I wasn't much help, or if I babbled...
Again.
Hey, bright, albeit shallow, silver lining on the cloud! Transformers 2 comes out soon!

I'm sorry - I wish I could make some suggestions, but the best I can offer is a little support.

And yes, the mood problems are annoying.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I think that they need to get counseling or, as much as I hate to say it, a divorce. This is not healthy for them or for those around them who are caught in the crossfire.

As far as moving out last April...I would simply suggest that you re-evaluate the situation. Things may have changed one way or the other since then.

It goes without saying, of course, that I am praying for you and your family. Hang in there!
